A Bonnyville Product hopes to be lighting the lamp for Team Canada come November.
Former Bonnyville Pontiac Matt Cook was named to Canada's National Sledge Hockey team last week.
Cook, who is one of two rookies to make the team, says he found out about sledge hockey while watching his brother at the RBC cup.
Canada will defend their world championship in November and Cook, who had 129 penalty minutes in 32 games with the Pontiacs in 2005/06 before being diagnosed with cancer, hopes to be a physical force on the team.
