THE PRACTICE BEFORE LLOYDMINSTER

This afternoons practice will be the last chance for some fine tuning before hosting the Highway 897 rivals. Unless you take 41 down to 45 and add in 17 or through Marwayne to 16 or I've even heard of some people going through Vermillion but that seems far out of the way. Either way they are Lloydminster and we are not supposed to like them.

-----

Saw Mike Westfall at practice yesterday with the cast off. He's still a few weeks away but it will be nice for the big guy to be able to start building strength back up in the arm.

Had a pleasant chat with Tim Reid this afternoon. This was the topic of our discussion.

The World Junior Hockey Championships could come to Bonnyville.
Hockey Canada released a pre-tournament exhibition schedule with games being played in a number of communities across Ontario ahead of the 2009 World Juniors.
Tim Reid of the Bonnyville Centennial Centre says there is no reason not to expect the same for the 2012 version being held in this province.
Reid says anytime you get the best in the world possibly coming to our community they get very excited.
