BOXING DAY

What a day for hockey... Two World Junior games to watch. A Spengler cup game and now I'm watching my Canucks play a miserable second period against the Oilers. Where was the Motor City Bowl game yesterday when I needed it?

-----

Here's your random Pontiacs stats for the day:

When the Pontiacs score first they are 14-3-0-1 on the year.
When the opposition scores first they are still a game over .500 at 11-10-1-3.

When leading after two periods they are 15-1-0-1.
When tied after two they are 7-5-0-2.
When losing after two they are 3-7-1-1.

When leading after the first period they are 15-3-0-0.
When tied after one they are 4-4-0-2.
When losing after one they are 6-6-1-2.

Mark Seidel of The Hockey News has two AJHL players ranked in his top 100 NHL draft prospects. One of them will be in Bonnyville on January 2nd. Find out who they are here.

Why would Bob McKenzie where a Swedish coloured blue and yellow tie during the World Junior Preview Show that aired on TSN the last couple days. Was his red one dirty?

Don't know if good friend Chris Boutilier, who helps us out on our broadcasts on Kool when the Pontiacs play in Calgary, reads this blog ... but I know he's in Windsor, Ontario for Christmas so Chris if you are reading see if you can track me down a Kyle Wellwood Spitfires jersey.

Wellwood just scored on the powerplay to get the Canucks within one.
