Should have said something yesterday but with no games being played the Power Rankings didn't really change. The Rankings will resume this coming Monday.

If the Drayton Valley Thunder are going to win a game against Fort Mac this year tonight is probably their best bet. Christmas and New Years distractions and someone I was talking to used the term 'turkey legs' yesterday. Probably a good bet to take the MOB but if there ever was a time .....

R.P.S.:
The third period has been the best so far this year for the Pontiacs. They have scored 55 goals compared to giving up just 39. A 16 goal difference.
There's a 10 goal difference in the first period with 47 goals for and 37 against.
49 goals for in the second with 41 against.
The only part of the game where the opposition have outscored the Pontiacs this year has been in overtime when the Pontiacs have given up 4 goals and have only scored 3 times.

Most Pontiacs travel back to Bonnyville today from wherever they were celebrating Christmas as practice resumes tomorrow. Here's hoping the roads are good and the airport delays are minimal.

After having listened to most (I'm sure there are more) of my new uncle-in-law's stories of when he played for a year in the WHL in the 70's I can only imagine that while those players from Kazakhstan didn't enjoy losing 15-0 getting the chance to play against team Canada will be a lifelong highlight. I'm sure they will tell many a family member over the years about the time they got to play against John Tavares.
