TheDrHunter has himself a new laptop with a power adaptor that doesn't work with mine so I'm stuck out in the hotel lobby again. Oh well... nothing like a little adversity on the road.

After taking one block walk over to BP's and back for pregame meal I take back what I said about it being a relatively nice day out. It's awfully cold.

I wonder if Chad Mercier has made any phone calls up the highway to Olds today. The Grizzlys are really the only team to beat Okotoks in the last month and a half but that is the challenge that faces the Pontiacs tonight.
The Pontiacs did beat the Oilers in Bonnyville earlier this season but that game should not lead anyone to believe the same will happen tonight. Back then, Okotoks came to the RJ Lalonde a beat up bunch. They were playing their second in back to back games and only dressed 15 healthy bodies and of those 15 how many were actually healthy could be questioned.
Since the Oilers have recovered from their early season injury woes they have been the team many expected. Fast, high scoring and tough to beat.

The one troubling statistic for the Oilers has to be the work of the powerplay. Overall they are doing just fine but for some reason they are having all sorts of problems on home ice. They are 26% away from home but only 16% at the Okotoks arena. Strange.
-----
The Pontiacs have not lost in regulation to a South division team all year. Their only blemish on a 7-0-1-0 record is an overtime loss at home to Camrose. This game tonight though might just be their biggest South division challenge to date.
-----
The Brooks make up game is still up in the air. It would work out best for Bonnyville if they could stay an extra day down South and play the game on Wednesday but the Bandits would have been playing their last game before Christmas on Tuesday night and there might be some travel issues with some of their players already heading home for the holidays. Stay tuned.
