I walked into practice this afternoon and had to smile to myself when I saw how few guys were on the ice. There isn't much else to do other than to laugh at the situation. The Pontiacs are missing 7 regulars from their lineup including. Two are gone for the season, three can be considered long term and two more might be able to return after the all star break.
Despite the fact I can only count 15 Pontiac skaters on the ice for practice this afternoon and the team is coming off one of their most lop sided defeats of the season the mood is light. It may as well be as there isn't any sense in dwelling on their predicament.

$8600 was the grand total raised from Pink Jersey and Hair Cut night on Saturday. A great cause that was well supported.

Alex Grill Donovan was still in hospital waiting for surgery to his leg earlier this afternoon. They did eventually feed him the other day and pushed surgery back to "hopefully" today. Not only has he not left the hospital but his new roommate snores.... loudly. Poor kid. He seemed to be in good spirits when I saw him today.

No offense to the NHL all star game but this last weekend might have been one of the worst of the sporting year. No NFL, no MLB, no real NHL games, no good golf, I didn't catch any soccer. Anything I'm missing?
