WEDNESDAY

The Bonnyville Pontiacs have added another all star. Ashton Hewson has been named to the North Division all star team as an injury replacement. The only problem is that he's replacing his own teammate as Kirk Belyk won't be able to participate in the game.

Hewson has 31 points (13g, 18a) in 27 games with the Pontiacs this season. He's clutch as 5 of those 13 goals have also been game winners.

Stay tuned for another announcement of a possible Pontiacs related addition to the all star game. We should have more details later this afternoon or tomorrow.

-----

Sorry this was overlooked last week as it was kind of a given but the Pontiacs officially clinched a playoff spot with the 6-5 win over St. Albert on January 2nd.

-----

The Pontiacs are on the ice this morning at 10:00 for a quick pregame skate.

Bonnyville has a 3-2 edge in the season series against the Fort McMurray Oil Barrons and the way it sits right now the Pontiacs and MOB would face off in the first round of the playoffs.

Fort Mac is coming off a disappointing 6-2 loss to Sherwood Park on Sunday afternoon after a good two game home set against Grande Prairie where they picked up 3 of a possible 4 points from the Storm.

The Pontiacs are coming off their own disappointment with a 7-5 loss on home ice to Lloydminster on Friday night but rebounded on the road with a 4-2 win in St. Albert Sunday afternoon.

Join us after the game tonight in the Weatherford lounge inside the Centennial Centre for the Bear Slashing post game show. We will have a coach and a player join us up there for all the home games this year.

I would not have wanted to be on that bus heading from Drayton Valley to Grande Prairie last night.

I don't think I've ever seen so much arguing over one word before. "Panel".

Would the act of being on a Panel and doing work on that Panel actually be called Paneling?

What if all the people on that Panel worked for radio stations?

What if the readers of the Panel's word thought they were all on some sort of band wagon.

Would that be Stationwagon Paneling? Would Stationwagon Panelling? Wood?
