Ramada AJHL Player of the Week – January 5th-11th, 2009

Jared Jagow of the Lloydminster Bobcats is the Ramada AJHL Player of the Week and the first ever recipient of the award. During the week of January 5th – 11th, Jagow registered 3 goals and 6 points in two games, including a 5 point night in Bonnyville on January 9th, 2009. He is currently enjoying a 5 game goal streak and 10 game point streak.
The 20 year-old forward is second in team scoring with 45 points in 29 games played this season. Jagow is tied for 16th overall in the AJHL Scoring Race, and leads the League with 1.6 points per game. Jared will represent the Bobcats as a member of the North Division All-Star Team at the upcoming 2009 Scott Safety AJHL All-Star Game in Calgary on January 31st.

How pathetic is it that out of the top five scorers for the Kodiaks that three of them are defensemen. Sub-500 team, no offense to speak of and somehow they were ranked 5th out of 16 teams just because they got a couple of lucky breaks in last weeks games.
