Well as of last night there isn't a team in the AJHL the Bonnyville Pontiacs haven't beaten this season. It took until their last meeting of the year with Spruce Grove but the Pontiacs finally gutted out a victory.
-----
The Saints had only lost two previous games at home during regulation time all season long. Lloydminster beat them January 17th 4-3 and Sherwood Park were 3-1 winners on November 5th.
-----
The Pontiacs were able to kill off seven minor penalties last night. In the home and home series the Saints were only 1 for 10 on the powerplay. A major factor why the Pontiacs were able to stay close on Thursday and to get the win on Saturday.
Perhaps even more important on Saturday was Bonnyville's ability to draw penalties with their work 5 on 5. Something they haven't been able to do consistently this season.

I got this e-mail from a blog reader yesterday:
The Bonnyville Atom Tier 1 hockey team is participating in Provincials March 13-17 in Taber Alberta. We are looking for local sponsors to help us out financial for this great event. We are looking for 10-$200.00 sponsors for this event and with this we are looking to gettting a banner made up of the ten sponsors and we will proudly put your name on the banner. As a team we will place this banner behind our players box and also we will carry the banner in the opening ceremonies.
If anyone can help out feel free to e-mail me at rhunter@newcap.ca and I'll forward you on to the team.
-----
We will factor the February 16th games into this weeks power rankings and release the rankings on Tuesday this week.
-----
There's a skate with the Pontiacs after the game tomorrow afternoon so bring your skates to the rink. As well there is family pricing with two adult and two student tickets on for $20.
Happy Family Day everyone.
