Made the comment during the Telephone Connections pregame show on Sunday that there were some in the Pontiacs pressbox who were getting a little tired of all the hockey (14 games in October and 4 in 5 days to end October and start November). I take it back. Friday seems too long to wait for another game.

Judging by the hits yesterday the Power Rankings seem successful. Big thanks to the panel. Checking out last nights results it looks like the Canucks will be lower down the list next week.

I promised an injury update. The news is worse than what was originally reported on air for Kirk Belyk. He will be out at least two weeks as he battles his upper body injury. Devon Kalinski will see a doctor tomorrow about the gash on his face he got from a highstick against Sherwood Park and is doughtful for Friday. Criag Cuthbert is, of course, still out with his knee injury.

Good luck to Team Canada West tonight as they battle the Russians. It's always about beating the Russians.
