The atmosphere at the rink didn't quite have that playoff feel too it but the action on the ice seemed to resemble a 2nd or 3rd round playoff matchup.
I say 2nd or 3rd round because in my opinion the first round of the NHL playoffs is the best hockey played all year and then as the guys get worn down a little the play seems to sag a little.
It wasn't the most exciting game on the ice at the Canada Games Arena in Grande Prairie last night and scoring chances were next to impossible to come by for both teams. Tight checking and cautious play with neither team really wanting to make a mistake. It felt like the playoffs.
By all accounts last nights game was Storm hockey.
