Power Rankings on TheRobbHunter.com are compiled by a panel of media members who follow the AJHL.
1. Sherwood Park Crusaders – Loss to Spruce Grove yesterday brings them back to the pack a little bit but they are still out in front.
2. Spruce Grove Saints – Battle shaping up at the top of the rankings.
3. Bonnyville Pontiacs – 6 regulars out of the lineup and they beat a team ahead of them in the rankings for their only game of the week as the legend of Ashton Hewson grows with 3 goals in a 3-1 win. It means a move up.
4. Grande Prairie – A split in Fort Mac should really be looked at as a win. This team is built for the playoffs with their defence and goaltending.
5. Fort McMurray Oil Barrons – Don’t look now but the MOB are starting to gain steam and that can’t be good for anyone in the North.
6. Brooks Bandits – A pair of wins this week vaults them up the Rankings and into first place in the South. Being carried by Deagle, Stimson and Lyons with Gunderson providing the type of ‘tending they expected from him all along.
7. Calgary Canucks – They get McKay back from WJAC and a big match up against Okotoks which will go a long way to showing where they are in this league.
8. Drumheller Dragons – Biggest drop of the week but 3 straight losses will do that too you. Bobcats beat them at their own game on Saturday. Dragons will be looking for a bounce back game against Brooks tonight as the Ramada Cup continues in the ditch.
9. Olds Grizzly’s – A pair of recent wins over Okotoks keeps them above the Oilers in the rankings. Mitchell with points in 6 straights and Orban finding the back of the net have paced the offence.
10. Okotoks Oilers – Should be higher but consistency has been an issue.
11. Lloydminster Bobcats – They are .500 for November with losses to Fort Mac and Sherwood Park coming by only one goal.
12. Camrose Kodiaks – Didn’t play a game but they do move up one spot in the rankings because of what happened to St. Albert.
13. St. Albert Steel – What happened to St. Albert? This team has to find some bodies for along the blueline.
14. Canmore Eagles – Give the Eagles credit for their win over Olds. They need to find some support for Scott Hudson.
15. Calgary Royals – Didn’t play and they get leapfrogged by Canmore.
16. Drayton Valley Thunder – The Thunder win a game but like a good magic trick you are left wondering how they did it and would they be willing to show you again?
